The SatBase satellite channel catalog has been rebuilt from scratch on a new database. The new website has been online since 18 October at satbase.hdsatelit.com. Every web page is now created dynamically on demand. Fresh changes appear instantly on screen. Old links are preserved completely.

The old site had static pages, last generated on 2 July. Now the pages are built from the database, and all 1,872 old addresses still work. The data comes from scans made with receivers, from the official pages of operators and broadcasters, and from the schedules sent by TV stations.

The catalog lists almost 15,000 active services distributed across 39 orbital positions. Visitors can explore 11,202 TV channels, 2,313 radio stations and 938 data services.

We published a full video walkthrough on our official YouTube channel to guide users through the updated sections. The video runs for 7 minutes, with a chapter for each section of the site. The features shown in it are only part of what SatBase offers. More special surprises will arrive on the website soon.

Advanced filters and fast search across 39 orbital positions

The main page includes a rapid search box for channel names, frequencies, or broadcasting providers. The catalog filters mirror those on the HD Satelit receiver. You quickly discover free-to-air channels, high definition broadcasts, and radio stations. The satellite directory spans 39 orbital positions from west to east. The catalog has 10 quick filters and advanced AND / OR filters on 19 fields.

Every orbital position displays the exact timestamp of the latest receiver scan alongside the full list of active transponders. In total, 822 transponders are cataloged with granular technical parameters. In the catalog you can sort by name, position, frequency, symbol rate, provider or type. The provider directory brings together 804 broadcast organizations. Tuning your dish becomes straightforward.

Verified signal measurements and comprehensive technical sheets

The technical channel pages provide direct reception measurements recorded with the HD Satelit receiver. There are 195 detailed profiles displaying signal level, signal-to-noise ratio, and bit error rate. Users can inspect native video resolution, frame rates, and broadcast audio tracks. Each page also has two screenshots from the receiver and the channel history.

For viewers in Romania, the catalog has a page on the TV operators in Romania, with 12 operators and 78 current packages. It also lists 274 Romanian channels on satellite, including foreign channels localized in Romanian, of which 26 are free-to-air. The antenna pointing guide on each technical sheet is calculated for Bucharest.

Antenna pointing details help users adjust azimuth and elevation angles without complicated mathematical formulas. The 12 operators include satellite, digital cable, analog cable and internet TV networks, with links to their official websites.

Automated receiver scans and satellite transmission updates

The updates section tracks all satellite transponder modifications without requiring manual logging. Newly detected channels receive clear labels, while parameter modifications are cataloged separately.

An automated comparison routine flags renamed channels and notes services that fail to respond during repeated scans. Over the last seven days, 1,080 modifications were logged. The historical archive holds 2,080 documented changes.

But the catalog goes beyond traditional TV channels. It also lists 63 terrestrial TV services (DVB-T2) relayed via satellite and 437 DAB+ digital radio stations. In the updates log, channels are grouped by transponder. Filters allow users to isolate services added over the past 30 days.

Updated TV guide, DVB-I television, and 12-language interface

The electronic program guide contains over 98,000 scheduled broadcasts, offering up-to-date schedules for more than 150 television channels. The dedicated current schedule screen displays what is airing minute by minute on each station. Each day shows where its schedule comes from: the broadcaster’s grid, its website or the EPG guide from satellite.

The hourly grid formats listings into convenient six-hour viewing blocks. The grid can be filtered by day and category, in Romanian time. Browsing through the television schedule is swift on desktop computers and smartphones alike.

The platform also incorporates an extensive DVB-I directory containing 35 public lists from 11 countries, totaling 983 internet channels. Compatible streams can be launched directly within the browser, and a daily test from Romania shows which streams work and, for the others, why they do not. Every channel with a stream also has a copyable address and a downloadable .m3u file for media players.

Interactive HbbTV television benefits from an inventory of 257 applications documented directly from satellite transport streams. A daily test from Romania shows which apps open in the browser, and these start right in the page, with an on-screen remote: the color keys, arrows, OK and number keys. The website interface is accessible in 12 languages, and visitors can switch between light and dark visual themes. The new SatBase is available on any device at satbase.hdsatelit.com.
